Tata Daewoo’s Code of Conduct

  • NATIONAL INTEREST

    We seek to contribute to the economic ​
    development of the communities of ​
    the countries and regions we operate and ​
    avoid any project or activity that is ​
    detrimental to the wider interests of
    the communities in which we operate.

  • COMPETITION

    We shall not engage in any restrictive or unfair trade practices.
    We support the development and operation of competitive open markets and the liberalization of trade and investment in each country and market in which we operate.

    ​ We shall not compromise safety in ​
    the pursuit of commercial advantage. We ​
    shall strive to provide a safe, healthy and ​
    clean working environment and comply ​
    with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • QUALITY OF PRODUCTS & SERVICES

    We are committed to supplying products ​
    and services of world-class quality that
    meet all applicable standards.

  • CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP

    We are committed to good corporate ​
    citizenship. We shall actively support ​
    the communities in which we operate ​
    and encourage our workforce ​
    to volunteer on projects that benefit ​
    the communities in which we operate.

  • COOPERATION OF TATA COMPANIES

    We seek to cooperate with our group
    companies, including joint ventures,
    by sharing knowledge, physical resources,
    human and management resources.

  • THE THIRD PARTY REPRESENTATION

    The Company shall not authorize any
    consultant, agent or distributor to
    represent it, if their business conduct and
    ethics are known to be against the code.

  • USE OF THE TATA BRAND

    The use of Tata brand owned by Tata Sons shall be governed by manuals, codes and agreements to be issued by Tata Sons.

  • GROUP POLICIES

    The Company shall recommend to its Board of Directors the adoption of policies and guidelines periodically formulated by Tata Sons.

  • SHAREHOLDERS

    The Company shall be committed to enhance shareholder value.

  • ETHICAL CONDUCT

    ​ We are committed to operating our businesses conforming to the highest moral and ethical standards. We do not tolerate bribery or corruption in any form and we shall act with professionalism, honesty and integrity, and the highest moral and ethical standards.

  • REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

    All employees of the Company shall in their business conduct, comply with all applicable laws and regulations of
    the country both in letter and spirit.

  • CONCURRENT EMPLOYMENT

    An employee of the Company shall not without the prior approval of the management, accept employment with any other Company.

  • CONFLICT OF INTERESTS

    An employee of the Company shall not engage in any business relationship or activity which might be in conflict with the Company’s interests.

  • SECURITIES TRANSACTIONS & CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

    An employee of the Company shall
    not derive any benefit or assist others
    to do so from inside information possessed by him.

  • PROTECTING COMPANY ASSETS

    The Company’s assets shall not be misused but employed for the purpose of conducting business for which they are duly authorized.

  • CITIZENSHIP

    An employee of the Company in his private life shall be free to pursue an active role in civic and political affairs as long as it does not adversely affect the business of the Company.

  • INTEGRITY OF DATA FURNISHIED

    Every employee of the Company shall ensure the integrity of the information furnished by him/her to the Company.

  • REPORTING CONCERNS

    Every employee of the Company shall promptly report to the management any actual or possible violation of the Code.

  • PROHIBITED DRUGS AND SUBSTANCES

    ​ Use of prohibited drugs and substances creates genuine safety and other risks at our workplaces. We do not tolerate prohibited drugs and substances from being possessed, consumed or distributed at our workplaces, or in the course of company duties.
